Heard this song in King of Kong the other night. What a great song.

At the Boston show they provided fairly thick cardboard "envelopes" that were very protective (no rolling required!). It was quite nice of them to do. The show was very good if you like Leonard Cohen. It was a VERY long show. The tempo was very... well... Leonard Cohen-esque. Almost like a 3hr lullaby. I have never seen him live before and I apprently incorrectly thought that there would be a more energy and more of an up-tempo feeling when seeing him live, but I was wrong. My buddy is a huge Cohen fan and was blown away. So that's good.

I saw him recently for the first time back in April and it made me a much bigger Cohen fan. The fact that the guy is in his 70s and can rip it like that for 3 hours is pretty amazing. The overall tempo is fairly slow, but he puts some faster jams in there to break it up. His band is incredible, especially the guitarist (or whatever he plays) from Barcelona. You should thoroughly enjoy yourself.

I saw him in Ottawa last week and was totally blown away. He sounds great and his band is fantastic. His backup singers (particularly the Webb Sisters) were worth the admission on their own. The Partisan and Hallelujah were definite highlights.
