I saw those the other day when I was searching for Metropolis posters. I think they are probably offset prints.

The Artist and Offical Website release Hi-Res Jpegs to allow prospective buyers to preview the work as a matter of courtesy....
Unfortunately, anyone with a commercial printer can then copy and sell these prints to the unknowing and the unscrupulous...
(then there is the whole argument of whether to apply watermarks to preview copies...)
