I guess I'm a romantic, but I really like this.. The full title from his Facebook adds to the poetry of the scene..
"The Kiss" ...fino alla fine del mondo (until the end of the world)
The street piece looks great as well.

I dug the HFE but not the cat and the hat

Is that a hat in front of the cat? I can't tell for sure.. The flying hat is a great touch.
The handfinished edition..

The handfinished edition..

The hat in the air, was the girl wearing it or did it blow off some hobos head walking the tracks
I just noticed the girl holding the balloons in the background

The cat on the far right allows the viewer to sweep the scene with his eye from left to right and find something at the end to stop a moment to look at, before going back to the main subject on the left. It would be odd to look all the way to the right, find nothing in there to stop your eye on and just go back to the main subject on the left. It would feel empty on the right and unbalanced as an overall composition.
The cat in the middle ain't necessary on the handfinished, but was probably put in there on the 1st edition simply because it's a classic KR character and it's making its apparition as per usual.. He could have removed it from the landscape, but why so..? Not bothering the composition at all imo.

That was my thought to begin with. His love is so strong it shoots a hole right through her back and blows her hat off. Do not fall in love with this man basically.misterx wrote:Who shot her?
Otherwise, this is a really nice image. The 'hidden' elements work really well.

I like that he didn't go the easy route for the print. If I think of a lot of nice street pieces, they work well within their surroundings, but more often than not, they're lazily transfered on to paper by just slapping the main subject on a white, grey or choose your color background and the original quality of the work is lost in translation. Not the case here as KR made up a new environment for his main characters to take place in, which brings a new perspective and more power to the image.. That's good stuff.

Why are there paint drips on the people? #SOSTREET
Also, an Above tag?

Actually, the Above tag didn't make it to the final version. You might want to take the credit for that. Italian spy lurking?HenryGaleWasHere wrote:Why are there paint drips on the people? #SOSTREET

Also, I like how it's cut off on the regular suggesting it's just a "love" tag instead.. Kenny playing with the theme of the piece.. Clever.
