Hah! That rooster HARD would certainly have gotten a lot of press. Imagine if he tried to pull that off. Although San Francisco would have tolerated it better than most cities.

The collabs are for real. I spoke with Justin (the gallery owner of White Walls) last week. He was hoping to start receiving them in the next month or so. There were no definite dates set when I spoke to him. But he was describing what the Faile print looked like to me which led me to believe that at least that one was complete or near complete. I'm not sure if they are going to try to release them all at once or stagger the releases. Give the White Walls SF a call. They'll be happy to answer any of your questions. You can speak to Justin or Tova. Tell them Chris Murray from the Middlebury College Museum of Art mentioned the collaborative prints to you and you're interested in details. If you click the link below you'll get their contact info.

Not on facebook. I came off it when my wife didnt like my 'girl' friends. Harmless but pointless bickering. Now ive heard my company have employed people to check facebook for any employee that mentions the company. Any thing derogatory and they get disciplined. The world today eh!
Anyway, who are the messages to & what are they about?

Someone in the UK (I won't put the name out there) sends messages saying something like, hey, you don't know me but you're in SF and I was wondering if you had any of the show cards to send me. The message gave me the impression they're blasting Facebook with tons of these. I got one, and your post reminded me of that.

I'll check next time I go past White Walls, there are stacks and stacks of old show cards in the front window. I was at the show but didn't pick any up.
I had no idea people collected these things. I have thousands of show cards in the bottom draw of my flatfile (it's for cards and stickers, and is a huge mess) and thought it would be cool, if I had done a more complete job of it, to put out a coffee table book after a few years." Five Years of SF ArtCards" or something.
