You might want to reassess what you're doing with $10,000 worth of prints without putting any on the walls...VaughanJer wrote:
2008 - just started collecting - $300-$500
2009 - starting to get hooked - $1000 +
2010 - now I'm in trouble - $6000 +
2011 - off to a good start - $1000 +
A yes, I have not framed a damn thing yet!

Doesn't seem like it when you're buying... but after you tally the results, you tell yourself, I could have bought an original painting or drawing if I hadn't purchased these ten prints..)
I'm sure I'll be happy with it

How bout this for paypal receipts
2011--$4,000.00 so far. Starting to get really hooked.
I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one. And to think that the framing bills will most likely be double! I am going to have to go through my collection at some point and whittle it down before the bank does it for me
I like to think of it in terms of good investments though by "diversifying my portfolio" while still getting to enjoy the fruits of my hard work and large bills on a daily basis instead of some stock.

Me too. I'd love it if he took this approach on his next big movie release. Everyone who wants to buy one gets one. Should stave off a lot of the people looking to just do a quick flip, but in the long run it's still a limited edition. This would be a good way for him to release a Back To The Future print.....tlaz wrote:I really like the way it was sold, nearly everyone who wanted on will get one and it will still be a limited ed. easy +1

Problem is then it'd be a run of 3000...guinness78 wrote:Me too. I'd love it if he took this approach on his next big movie release. Everyone who wants to buy one gets one. Hey, I just got matte samples from AmericanFrame.com so at least that's a step in the right direction!
Detail shots of the actual print might have those who passed regretting their decision, looks fantastic. I'm sure there will be plenty to be had in time though.
