Your thoughts please.
I have got a few Mondo posters signed by actors from the films.
For instance: Tim Doyle's Big Trouble in little China autographed by the 3 actors who played the Storms.
Ken Taylor's Terminator auto'ed by Linda Hamilton and First Contact by Alice Krige.
Martin Ansin's Space Seed by William Shatner.
Alex Pardee's Re-Animator signed by Jeffery Combs.

Question is, have I ruined them?!
They were all a spur of the moment type thing!!
Here's some pic's:

Don't see how getting a signature could ruin them for you. Stick them in a frame and enjoy the art and remember getting them signed. I had my Ansin "Scott Pilgrim" signed by a bunch of the cast, looks pretty awesome and it was fun going to the midnight screening to get the signatures.

Ruined them for resell? Depends on who is buying. Ruined for yourself? Only you can answer that.

What the hell are you talking about?
"Ruined" them? The only way they're ruined is if you didn't want them autographed, which obviously you did.

Any chance I can, I get sigs on my prints - usually only by the director though.

Also, how were they spur of the moment? Seems like you would have to take them to the signings, which were obvs. planned events. 8)

Nice collection, IMO keep getting Mondo prints signed by people - makes them personal.

Not ruined at all...if you plan on keeping them. When it comes to autographs on your posters I would say do it for yourself. But your not going to increase the value of your print and in most cases it will be worth less because not everyone is going to like who you chose to autograph it. I have a couple PJ posters that I had Eddie and Stone sign but I did it for me and not cause I cared about the value of the poster.

Someone should get Shatner to dip his penis in paint and then slap it down on the print. I would pay extra for that.

We weren't allowed to photograph Bill!
You had to pay extra for that.

We attend the show selling bits and pieces, posters we've had commissioned, art we have bought in from artists, original movie posters, gig posters etc.
I take along my personal collection in case I don't sell enough. People are always asking about Mondo prints so I buy in off ebay and here to pass on.
But trying hard to stick with the commissioned pieces more than anything, like the Jack the Ripper posters, Hallowhedon, LA '84 etc.

When times get hard then maybe the will have to go.
I have a Gold Metropolis which will go up on ebay next time Martin Ansin has a Mondo poster up.
As much as I love it, it will never get framed. The silver version is on the walled as I'm a sucker for glow in the dark!

hell no you didn't ruin them. posters are meant to be enjoyed. enjoy them anyway you see fit. i bet lots of aftermarket buyers would like the sigs if you're worred about it....seems like you have enough provinence to keep a buyer happy.
If you use ULINE tubes, please don't pm me about trades or sales.

I think Shatner signing Space Seed is sweet.
