with the non-glare its not a quality thing (the quality is great) it just gives the art a very hazy look. I would drop the extra cash and get museum glass. its top quality and the non glare aspect of it is better than the non glare anyway.krisjay wrote:As far as I'm aware, non-glare UV Glass is one step down from museum, but I could be wrong, I wish I had used museum glass for my DSO. Could always change it out some day.CrustaR wrote:Oh, sorry, I didn't know there was a difference. I always go with museum glass for my frames (I thought it was the same as non-glare UV glass).krisjay wrote:I think non glare UV Glass is fine for most projects, if it is something really really expensive with major detail, might go with museum, but rarely find the need.
(never use cleaning agents on museum glass) use lighter fluid

I've used about a 50/50 mix of rubbing alcohol and water, and it's always worked fine. Never tried lighter fluid, but I'm going to give it a shot next time around. Just a little squirt on a micro-fiber cloth, I assume?jamesgunter wrote:im not sure... from day 1 i was always taught to handle it with gloves on so the oils from your hands dont get on it and only use lighter fluid to clean it. ....so thats what ive always done.
