Hey... here is something about EB and EBay that you probably didn't know:
If you click on an auction link on EB, it takes you to that specific Ebay auction listing. If a user clicks that link and then BIDS ON AND WINS the auction, Ebay provides EB with a commission based on the Final Value Fee for the auction. If you know that you're gonna bid on something, click that EB link to get to the auction. Then bid. It doesn't cost you or the seller anything extra - just takes a little change out of Ebay's pocket and puts it into EB's instead.
So if you're gonna bid and buy, please do so thru EB's links when you can - it only helps to support the site. And if you say you can't because the auction (or even the piece of art) isn't listed, then submit it and then you will be able to!

I know what you mean and I thought about that a few days ago when I was about to bid on an auction, heres what I did: I decided to wait until there was two minutes 30 seconds left in the auction then submitted the auction to eb. I then quickly followed the link from eb through to ebay and won my poster thus helping eb. With it being on eb for less than 2 minutes before the auction ended I really wasn't worried that others would see it and bid. This way you will be able to help eb and yourself, plus you can still make your donation

No one did outside of the Board. We only recently got approval from Ebay to release this information to our users.

You don't have to take a link directly to an item for EB to get credit. Just take any link from Eb to there and go about searching or bidding on any item. You can even use this link.
