I would think that they have the same amount of screens since the variant also has a red eye.Codeblue wrote:If those jpegs are accurate, the regular version has an extra screen just for the blue eye of the snake.mistersmith wrote:Might be a jpeg issue, but it looks like the black paper version has an extra screen, just for the red eye of the snake. Rad. But the "one extra color, and it's blood red" deal has me thinking it's a MegaFauna/Japan version...then again, don't know why they'd need a True Grit poster...either way, all that lettering is amazing.

Yeah, couldn't see the blue eye in the smaller jpeg (and on my shitty work monitor).LLA wrote:I would think that they have the same amount of screens since the variant also has a red eye.Codeblue wrote:If those jpegs are accurate, the regular version has an extra screen just for the blue eye of the snake.mistersmith wrote:Might be a jpeg issue, but it looks like the black paper version has an extra screen, just for the red eye of the snake. From OMG
There's some higher res pictures too.
http://omgposters.com/2010/12/21/aaron- ... sale-info/After the insanity that was yesterday’s poster drop from The Alamo Drafthouse, you’d better get ready, here comes another. Aaron Horkey’s True Grit poster is a 15″ x 39″ screenprint with three different metallic inks. The regular edition has an edition of 400, while the variant has an edition of 110. They will be priced at $60 and $120, respectively. They go up tomorrow (Wednesday, December 22nd) at a random time.
There's some higher res pictures too.
Love the variant, the dark grey on the snake makes the rest of the colors pop much better than the original to my eyes. Enjoy both of them though!

After the madness I think I'm gonna sit this out. Pretty certain I'll love True Grit, but buying before knowing what it's selling puts me off. Still might regret this, having watched Monsters recently and really enjoyed it, so might need to reconsider. Good luck to you all.
