actually laughing my ass of
Giclee - "One unintended consequence of Duganne's choice of name was its problematic use in the French language since it is also modern French slang for male ejaculation"
Who has 15 k for a print? Come on crazy considering the economy. Even 5 grand is nuts. Banksy could have easily made 100 of each color and diffused the situation. POW is basking in glory and thrilled about creating this situation.
The people I work could have bought a couple hundred/thousand of these. If you tried to compare my money to theirs it'd be like me buying a beer for a bud would be like them buying a brand new luxury mercedes for one of their friends.jsan20 wrote:Who has 15 k for a print? Not everyone is as poor as the media wants us to believe.

so true. i work for an oil and gas company. i handle all of the revenue for our company. my superiors would wipe their ass with this without thinking twice. the president of the company purchased a brand new Porsche 911 for his wife yesterday, because she liked the color.

True. Then again when they have original Picassos I think they can live without a Banksyjsan20 wrote:Very true some are wealthy but if you had that kind of money you would probably send your house maid and gardener to wait in line for you to save a few bucks. All the people i know with heavy bank rolls are thrifty as hell.

my old boss, who owns his own oil and gas company is rich as fudge, but the drymounter only shopped at wal-mart and insisted on the cheapest methods ever. He was a drymounting cheap skate. He probably didn't have anything on his walls as far as art. He was/is an idiot in the purest form (but has a fudge-ton of money), so perhaps i'm the idiot.jsan20 wrote:Very true some are wealthy but if you had that kind of money you would probably send your house maid and gardener to wait in line for you to save a few bucks. My second cousin owns a bank and a very successful business also purchased about 50 thousand shares of ford at 1.20. He probably shops a jc penny and i don't see any art work like that around. His car is ten years old and home is very modest. Real nice guy but keeps a tight grip on his money.
