From that point it's just a matter of scratching to reveal the white clay underneath the Black surface.

Light Scratches make Light lines, The heavier you go at it the whiter the lines are.
or the more layers of Light scratching you do The more white shows up after a while like the way the face developed.
None of those scratches are heavy...There is just a shitload of them on top of each other.

Hope that helps, Got some morning stuff to attend to and then I'll be on this bad boy all day.

At least I wouldn't have felt it if I ran my hand through the blade
Don't be freakin' about this if your looking to have a frame made....These 3 are SIMPLE, nice wood but simple.
They are for X-mas gifts.

I need the weather to get somewhat better to start working the harder frames, which will happen soon.
I'm a gonna put the call out to all interested to get it in gear in the next couple weeks.

My obligations for 2010 are finished and I'm NOT taking any new jobs till FEB.
EXCEPT for frames.
I'll be doing that and Scratchboards exclusively for the next two months.

A little vid to show a little work. The work I do here is slightly larger than a quarter and took that long on the first layer alone....This thing is gonna take a while.

I love it already... natural beauty indeed. Thanks for sharing your process. :)
You are a child of the universe
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Thanks!

Whew....It's always a great satisfaction when the scratching makes it completely across a board for me.
It's a weird thing but is always a milestone I remember about a piece.
