How does Mondo work. Do they create posters for special screenings exclusively? Just wondering because I have not seen any for a wide release. A True Grit poster would be awesome!

Actually...Were the There Will Be Blood and Alice in Wonderland Moss posters for screenings of for the wide releases.

I'm pretty sure Stout's Inglourious Basterds was timed to the release of the movie, and his Iron Man 2 was an "official" poster I believe. Also, Olly Moss did the official Four Lions print, but that film was a Drafthouse release. I think Ansin's Scott Pilgrim poster was "official" as well.

From Twitter:

Finishing up some new shirts and getting in a ton of approvals. The rest of the month and December are going to be our biggest ever.

Gah!...There go the decent christmas presents for everyone!

Enuff already with the good stuff!

Looks like I picked the wrong week to stop selling my plasma for posters.

Looks like there is some, uh ... competit ............. oh geez, I can't even say it. These are beyond horrible ...

http://www.the-losthighway.com/roadside-store/

The site is dedicated to all things b-movie and cult classics, so, at least he's got that going for him ... but the posters are just really poor Stout-style knock offs ... Ketih David should sue for how bad his likeness is on that They Live poster.

Haha yeah I've seen these before. It's amazing how off all the likenesses are. It truly isn't difficult to take a photo reference into Illustrator and trace over top of it.
They're almost so lazy they're kinda charming :)

Well, over that time period, we have the following on the Alamo calendar

Bird With the Crystal Plumage
Roadhouse
Return of the Living Dead
Lord of the Rings
Die Hard
The Devil's Backbone
Creepshow

Posters/prints for any of these would be cool.

Not to mention the general holiday releases.

Personally, I'm hoping for something for the Coen's True Grit.

I can not wait for the lord of the rings. Is it going to one for the trilogy, or a poster for each movie??
