I have accepted the $50 price point on these, since I'm sure that Lucas gets a cut and that has to be factored in. Something like this Whalen piece would easily be $125 or more from Acme.
They just released a couple yawn inducing Clone Wars giclee's with an edition of 250 for $89. Almost looks a little desperate in the face of the Mondo's.

Oh yeah Acme is crazy when compared to Mondo pricing wise but 50 for me on this one was just a bit much but I really thought about it. With Acme I would just rofl and never think twice...although I will admit I got a Tan piece from Acme but those were extremely overpriced...almost to the point of gauging imo.

I love Whalen's prints just didn't have the extra money. The $50 didn't bother me especially since his last few prints at G1988 were $85 (or something like that). And I gave up on trying to collect all the Star Wars prints, but I think I'll try and grab this one down the road.

ACME (very rarely) does a 20 - 25% coupon/discount, typically around Black Friday or Christmas, I can't remember. I think you have to sign up for their free club to be able to use it. It's still expensive but if there's something you know you will buy anyway, it can be worth waiting.

I think what they say is - Who is more foolish? The fool, or the fool who follows?

The week before Halloween. I bet something awesome this way comes. Vac day/Friday for me...getting prepared, just in case it's a Friday drop. Erm...if it's the rumored high-priced item...hope it's not too expensive.

Seems like a Universal Monsters would be appropriate for this week.

Fingers crossed.

If they're going to release a Horkey Dracula, this would be as good a week as any. (I just wonder if it's ready yet...)
