“But as Garcia said, you know, the '60s ain't over till the fat lady gets high. And that means that whatever it takes to get you high: sometimes grief, sometimes it's prayer, fasting. I prefer a joint.”-Ken Kesey
I took my daughter to the Isle of wight in 2007 it was fun listening to The Rolling Stones, Echo & the Bunnymen, Muse, Kasabian, Wolfmother, Snow Patrol while sneaking of to indulge, (yes i am a irresponsible parent) but it was being with my daughter that made it something i will never forget, opposed to being on the isle in 1970 listening to Hendrix,Miles Davis,The Doors,Supertramp, The Who,Moody Blues, Joni Mitchell, Leonard Cohen and not to forget Tiny Tim For me if i could pick a festival to go to in my time machine,(without my daughter of course ) it would be the Isle of Wight 1970, Im sure this print would bring back fond memories if not blurry ones to half a million people.
Wow! Deepest, darkest Africa in those colors! I can hear that guitar-like horn as I write this... smells like it's from Miles' psychedelic period.
I always defer to someone who's wearing a beater, regardless of what else he's wearing.

The poster's atmosphere is totally Miles. Nice choices on all the components.
This'll look sweet on a wall.

Phenomenal poster.
For me, it perfectly captures this period of Miles career. The colours echo the darkness that can be found in electric Miles. When I first heard Dark Magus it reminded me of more of Sabbath than any jazz I'd heard up until that point.
The furrowed brow and determination in his eyes encapsulate a man who was a master of his art but needed to blow the doors off his own expectations of what music could be. If I make it to eighty I'm sure I'll still be listening to Miles, sitting in a rocking chair thinking .. what the f.... ???? Hopefully looking at this poster while Miles continues to blow my mind.

great work Dave... one of my favorites of yours. This would look great next to my Flores T-Monk. Happy to see the Red Vic series keep on keepin on.
