Aaron Horkey's last show ever?
I haven't seen this talked about on here yet and still can't believe it......
"As of today, I’m lined up to be a part of the aforementioned “Catalyst” 09 show and then a swan song print retrospective in my hometown of Windom, Minnesota in September 2010. Barring some miraculous event in the interim that will be my final exhibition. The way things are headed, I doubt anyone will notice."

I don't think this has anything to do with retiring. He has said that gallery shows are not really his thing. You almost never see an original for sale when he does have them. He would rather deal with someone personaly when selling OG's than through a gallery. Just because this may be his last gallery show, it does not mean he will stop producing art prints/posters. Dead Arts Publishing is just getting started.
I remember reading in an interview something along the lines of "if my eyes are still good when the youngest turns 18, watchout!"
So maybe his output will drop right off until his kids have grown up .
If I was him I'd do the same thing .

Here is some additional info on the show.

the og's you have for sale though
Your right, there has been stuff for sale, but it few and far between. I know blues being cheeky, but I'm going out for almost a week, so between travel, food and spending money it really adds up. Big brain comics by itself will put a hurt on the wallet!

And the inks at Catalyst were, like, 4 grand, 6 grand, stuff like that? They were for sale...but not really.

So I guess Aaron really likes to hold on to his originals. I'm sure there are people that would pay that, but it seems like its more of a discouragement price tag.mistersmith wrote:And the inks at Catalyst were, like, 4 grand, 6 grand, stuff like that? They were for sale...but not really.
