Love this poster! I can't read the type at all, but I like it. Maybe I'm just looking at it wrong, or Rob has gone all Tolkienesque on us and created his own language. :)

yeah, there were some close up pics, it isn't actual words, it is code.

This poster is not only awesome but it is a well thought out poster.

Using Edgar Allan Poe not only represents the darkside of the posters from Dead Weather but has a symbolic meaning/message.

Poe wrote a few stories the used code/cryptography.
People at the show last night were asking if it was a Rob Jones poster but they couldn't tell because it is in code.
Since people didn't know it was a Rob Jones poster not a lot were buying them at the beginning of the show...but they were all gone at the end of the show.
I picked up 3 of them because it was that unique.

The coded message is hard to figure out due to the symbols being used.
I have figured out the middle part of the poster it reads from left to right going down

I am sure it mentions Detroit & Fillmore but If I have more time today I will try to solve the rest. I will research it some more but I am sure someone may solve it by tonight.

One of the best poster this year!!

Thanks for these pictures! I've got it decoded except for the 'title', which is still puzzling me (and I'm not going to 'reveal' the code right now - just write what you see down on a piece of paper and work from there - the key to working it out is already listed in this thread). It would seem to me to do a giant disservice to RJ to just go and 'crack' the code right here when it's only been out in the world for hours... This is a beautiful poster, and now high on my list of DW posters to look for. I wish more gigposters had this attention to detail and sense of 'intrigue'.

This is an interesting theory. I was also wondering if maybe the title is really just the symbols (that is, that it isn't intended to be decoded, it's just titled with that series of symbols..?)

SPOILER IF YOU ARE STILL WORKING ON THIS PUZZLE YOURSELF

By my reading, the letters in the 'title', in order as written are: DCTSE*EN, and I think that the ' * ' can only be G,K,Q,V,X or Z (if we're only dealing with letters). Can you guys who've decoded it also confirm that you've come up with the same thing?
