How do you really feel?palehighway wrote:isn't the soundgarden one on your in search of list? His NIN's is ok, but it's no green lady. Green lady is beautiful and impure like a well worn damaged flower. His NIN poster makes me feel like some creepy ball gagged limp wristed auto erotic bastard is masturbating while watching people watch this poster. I don't know if people who have this hanging do that in their spare time, but it wouldn't surprise me.

I have multiple copies of many posters... always looking for a good deal on that NIN poster
Also, I completely disagree with you on the Soundgarden vs NIN poster (different strokes etc)... First of all the Soundgarden poster is really weak conceptually whereas the NIN is much more a classic Kozik concept... juxtapozing evil with beauty. The creepy part is very much part & parcel with a 'good' Kozik poster. The Soundgarden is just some chick with tattoos.
Furthermore the period we are talking about here is the grunge era ... I think the Mason/Tate concept speaks much more for that type of music then some porn chick. Besides, creepy as it may be... I don't consider art good or bad because it is creepy. It's all about concept and context.
Basically the bottomline is that the Soundgarden poster gets more attention because it has the Pearl Jam text on it... period. And the band name doesnt mean fudge to me....
NIN poster is much better executed, more though out and more challenging then the Soundgarden poster.
Anyone saying that the SG/PJ is the best KOZIK poster doesnt understand Kozik as an artist and hence I disagree. And those people that say that it is the best PEARL JAM poster don't see that there are plenty of 'better' PJ posters out there by different artists (Ames etc)
When it comes to the nineties not many artists come close to Kozik... and this NIN poster is by far my favorite Kozik piece.
Again, I think many people are 'blinded' by the fact that the SG poster has Pearl Jam on it which makes it valuable to many collectors, which in turn creates more hype and on and on and on

my favorite poster. period.
the hot colors used for manson vs. the cold used for tate are amazing, and that split fountain in tate's hair gets me every time.
The art print isn't nearly as good as the gig poster. Different inks. The original just hit on all cylinders.
