You do.
Tad you do not rule...
The poster has edge to it... a big slap in the face to local shithead polluters.
That poster will be hanging on everyone's wall in KC for years to come when the fish are gone.

The show was pretty dang good... but I'm always happy hearing Porch, Present Tense, and anything Neil Young.
Dig Band Of Horses... they stepped up.
The printing is not the stuff we are used to getting from Portland, but the piece comes with a message or meaning which is exactly what we expect...
He does his homework, I like getting posters with more than just a picture.
His work may not blow you away everytime but his vision should.
ahh but Emek's vision is well established already. He is the Thinking Man's Artist. That his thought processes are general superior and brilliantly thought out is not the question with Emek any longer. The WHOLE picture must be considered. The bands involved, the color scheme, the aesthetic appeal...all important faction...even his past history with Pearl Jam when viewing this latest work
This poster is not a book...it's, in affect, a painting and should be reacted to as such...yes the message should be considered too... imho is drab..i wont list comparison from his body of work. Nor should you. It must stand on it own.
It falls short for a number of reasons and most of you realize this, though some seem afraid to express this.
We analyze the new works here on this page to express how we feel, not how we want to be heard but fellow EB'ers or by Emek. Be honest and tell us what you think in the big picture (we get the "message" of the poster...let's also talk about how it appears).

Your post lost me.
The printing isn't that great... the sky and horizon don't come together well.
Not Emek's fault.
The font is similar to the '96, that big angle huge band look.
Earth tones are my favorite colors... so I liked it from far away.

The message IS the poster in this case... there isn't much room for different takes.
Sure everyone wants another green lady or whatever, in my circle giving a drymount about the environment is just as cool.
Classic Emek.

Absolutely. Violate the rules and you're outta here.
Hey... how about that Phillies fan that got tasered? I bet he started his day by breaking pspelmo's rule.
By the way, where is Kansas City? And how did Pearl Jam find it? And does Emek know intuitively that trying to sell 10,000 copies of an unnumbered poster will still return him as much money as a limited edition print with variants?
I always defer to someone who's wearing a beater, regardless of what else he's wearing.

Pretty sure Emek has a handle on how to clean up in the poster world.
He definitely wasn't able to print anywhere near 10K copies and I don't think he had a green light for variants.

I'm not quite grasping all the hate in here...I mean, lets just say for argument sake that EMEK was able to screen print 10000 of these with the help of his minions of tiny poster pulling robots or whatever....AND suppose this image is just as sh!t f'n sucky as everyone seems to think it is....THEN, doesn't that make this poster itself pollution? Poster pollution.....about pollution?

She's a rawker mudduh fawkers!
