no flame here, just wondering what the advantage is to either party in the situation you described. can't the seller just cancel the auction and not pay any final value fees?
nothing more than an agreed upon price...i mean, the buyer is and always will be protected as long as he/she pays via paypal and puts it as purchased goods

you only save on ebay fees as well as the agreed upon price
ok - so if the ebay item sells low, no final value fee, purchase recorded - great for the seller. then the buyer pays for the $1 item and gets the extra level of protection offered to buyers on ebay. won't the payment for the full amount (let's say $500) then count as any other paypal payment for a non ebay item would and be covered under the same protections paypal always offers people sending money for non ebay items?

i just don't get where paying $1 for something and exchanging feedback helps anyone.

on a side note - i heard you were on Tyra once! did it ever air?
you definitely need to go back a few dozen pages....unless someone else gonna repost.

What a bunch of drama. I agree with you, we all buy prints that have value to keep or to trade or even sell. You can't hate on people for trying to come up on the art they really want using the art they know is worth something. It seems when people try to have some type of super ethics about purchasing only art they will collect and hang on their walls they are only fooling themselves. The more artists a person gets into the more a person runs into situations like this where you get something you like but then see something you love and are willing to immediately turn it over for a grail like u said. Seems like they are just mad cause they missed out, oh well you win some you lose some but if you really love a piece of art than one should be willing to pay on the secondary market.

Most likely that would get deleted or get this thread locked.
