bold words from a DMB fanatic! Clearly Mr. Munter doesn't compare to someone who can take pictures of Dave Matthews and his band members out of a magazine, scan them, add some colors, print them and sell them to DMB fruits.pats4life2003 wrote:one of my least favorite prints of all time
This print is amazing on every level. The band is amazing! The concept is hilarious! The artist is as top notch as it gets in the gig poster world and i'm sure the finished product will look incredible.
i find it funny... love it

This makes me want to go back to my parents and find my old GPK collection. Love the print.

Is this really by the same guy who did the Coalesce and Boris prints that f**king kill? Just not feeling it at all...
Curious though... why do a litho if it's only an ed. of 50? Why not screen 'em? Serious question.

There was a last minute issue with the screens and it was too late to start the job over, so I had to have them printed here locally in order to get them done in time for the show.comountaingolf wrote:Is this really by the same guy who did the Coalesce and Boris prints that f**king kill? As for the style....sorry you don't like it. Yes, this is the same Mike Munter. Take a look at some of his recent stuff (especially the Screens 'N' Suds print) and you'll see that he's branching out into more full-color illustration work. I'm hoping I can get him to do a spray/stencil print at some point in the near future, but I couldn't possibly be happier with the results from this one. Sold out at the show, so obviously someone liked them.

I've noticed that Mike is definitely mixing it up, which is great to see. To each his or her own and I'm glad to hear that it sold out in spite of the issues with the screens. I have a bunch of Munter, just doesn't have that Munter feel when I look at the jpeg
