Haiti Relief 10 EMEK Release Discussion 01/23/10
still waiting, don't worry they'll come

out and perfect.

It's not hate really, if this was anyone but Emek, everyone would be screaming this was BS. Personaly I'm over it, it gets here when it gets here, most of any excitement I had over this is gone. Plenty of artist pump out a 600 print run on a regular basis, 14 weeks or whatever it has been, seems, a little much, but whatever. Still should be a decent looking print.
Burn, baby, burn!!!!
Point well taken. I've always thought of poster buying as an impulse thing to a certain degree, and it seems like forever when this project was announced. I can't wait to see the poster, but I agree that the initial excitement is gone. Don't get me wrong; I'm glad Emek made this contribution to the disaster, and I'd bet he put a serious labor of love into this image... He also had a few other things going on (e.g., The Hangover print, the new Badu art, etc.). But this one really stretched out.
I always defer to someone who's wearing a beater, regardless of what else he's wearing.

Glad to see someone has gotten one. Shipped last week, I would have thought alot more people would have it by now. Should be sweet when it finally arrives, longest, by far I've ever waited for a print to ship. I'm on the 4th week of waiting on another poster, kind of getting used to longer waits lately. Seems like the longest waits are the direct from artist buys. But hey what do I know I'm a baby in this art thing. I just like the perty pictures.
Burn, baby, burn!!!!
Do you think the S/N will be issued in order of purchase..??
Is this standard practice by artists ie. Second person to hit the Paypal button gets 2/600, third gets 3/600 etc and the artist keeps tabs on this and then designates them out accordingly??
Noob question I'm sure, but I am the self appointed noob round here and this is something I have been wondering about......

War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength.
I don't think it will be like that. With a run that large it would probably be too much to manage, unless they kept track of it that way. I ordered early, so I guess I'll find out when I see my number.misterx wrote:Do you think the S/N will be issued in order of purchase..??

From all of the poster buying I have done, the numbers you get seem pretty random.misterx wrote:Traditional with a small run perhaps...or not??Say a run of 200...are they sold chronologically?
thanks for your response kneel..
