So I have been anticipating the arrival of Josh Keyes' tiny showcase print for awhile. It finally showed up today and was crammed in a standard sized mailbox even though it was clearly stamped with "do not bend". The print is curved but I don't see any creases (the mailer was pretty banged up). What recourse if any do I have? Should I just mention to the mailman to be more careful next time or would that just result in more mishandling?

i gotta say i wished TS used a slightly more rigid mailer, especially for the larger prints. sometimes an attempt to bend them is made before anyone can read the "do not bend" stamp, and then the damage is possibly already done.

I had a 7" vinyl record crammed in a 4"x4" mail box before. It now has a nice warp to it.

My postal carrier is the best. When it is rainy out - not uncommon in the valley in Oregon - and I have tubes, she carefully wraps them in plastic bags and leaves them in a dry spot. She got a nice Christmas gift this year.

Same thing happened to me once. The record was actually folded in half.

Have your art/important stuff shipped to your job so it's never laying around. Assuming you work a daytime schedule. I get everything sent to my office, the receptionist handles the hard work.
