Just saw The Hurt Locker pretty good if you like war movies has a descent ending.

I enjoy Curb more than I did Whatever Works, especially this past season. Curb is Larry David playing himself, Whatever Works was Larry David playing Woody Allen.

Just watched House of the Devil. The pacing moved like molasses, but I really enjoyed the film. It's a true throwback and well worth watching.

I saw Daybreakers on Saturday. It was an Australian production, probably dropped 90% of the budget on actors (Hawke, DaFoe, Sam Neill) and the movie suffered for it. If they'd made it in America with a big American budget and some attention to detail and pacing and all that, it could have been great. Some really cool ideas in there. "Gattaca meets Matrix meets Blade Runner, only with vampires" should have been a winning combo, but as it is it gets like a 4/10.

i've seen it. i still have no idea what to think of it. i have the feeling that the original script was great and that along the way it got completely drymounted up.
