A framing supplier who can sell to the public (but must charge tax). There are others on the web, but shipping defeats the deal there. The ones I've googled seem to be on east coast so might not be prohibitive for you in Boston.optimusGRRR wrote:Sorry, don't live in TN, but where are you getting the glass wholesale?thekharmainitiative wrote:Some framing info for anyone working on that now:
Anybody in the Middle TN area want to share a case of 7 lites (sheets) of 24"x30" TruVue Museum glass with me? That will allow a 3" mat on all sides of an 18"x24" print, which seems just about the right size to me. I'm buying it wholesale locally to cut down on my framing costs. I figure I can get a nice archival, matted, frame w/museum glass for well under $100 each this way.
I'm sure I could eventually use all seven lites, but if there is anyone in Middle TN (or if you'll be in Middle TN in the next few weeks/months) interested in sharing the case and cost with me, please PM me. At the wholesale cost, each lite will be under $50 w/tax, which is like half the cost anywhere else for individual sheets that size.
For anyone interested in more info on Museum glass, the framing counter at your local Hobby Lobby, Michael's, JoAnne etc. will have a small but amazing display of what it can do for the appearance of your framed artwork.

Whistling while I wait for the price of Locke's Secret to go down.
No way am I paying what the rate is on any of the current Ebay auctions. Then again, I find it interesting that one of them doesn't yet have any bid at all.
So if there's someone who would like to sell me the print because I am an Olly Moss fan who -also- happens to like Lost, feel free to PM me. I'd love to have it and put it with the other work of his I have. Otherwise, I'll keep watching for it.

There are lots of characters without blue eyes in that poster. I think they're just overdoing the airbrushing to make the blue ones stand out more. Brown eyes are obviously a little more subdued.
