this is all part of the plan...that picture alone, plastered on every major news webpage, will bring in more than enough donations to cover the cost of that boat (which would be rotting in port if it hadnt been used for this) and help fight the japanese assholes.

This is becaming a really big thing down here,, but its more to do with the people getting pissed of that the government dont do fruk all, they have solid grounds to take japan to the international law courts but wont, :( Also the japanese government are pressing for the sea shepard to be charged with willingly poluting the sea,, as they had some desiel in the tanks left that leaked out plus the bat boat has just been left to float away and sink somewhere

The Japanese honestly don't care what we think that much beyond our alliance, except for baseball... and that's a good thing, cause we wouldn't care what they thought or anyone else thought, if they tried to take away what we consider being American..

and i feel for you and everything, but honestly I can't stand when cultures tell other cultures how their culture should be.. be it for something as horrible as whale/dolphin hunting.. but by complaining about the way certain people live and trying to make them conform to outside beliefs only chips away at that cultures identity, especially when you're trying to force them.. the same goes for the Middle East when I hear US politicians talking about ways to conform the classes, with regards to civil liberties.. that's why there is so much tension when the US starts to push their weight around in other countries governance.. those countries don't want to be the US nor do they want to adopt US beliefs, maybe they don't want a global society, because all that does is take away from who they are and have been.. that doesn't mean we can't work together and enjoy the fruits of this world in harmony.. it's just, look what happened to the Native Americans after the European people showed up and pushed them around.. they went from being spiritual beings and became greedy capitalists, building casinos and further drifting away from who they were and should be.. yes there are Native Americans who stayed true to their ancestors, but that number is dwindling.. if we keep it up with what we're doing, we're basically adopting a sort of Nazi/Spanish Inquisition type of ideology that doesn't respect the cultures of others by forcing them to conform. only those who are like minded will be spared.. be it ethical or not..

We gave Japan baseball and they gave us Sushi.. If we try to take away Whaling they should take away our fast food.. some Americans would be happy to oblige but I'm sure the majority would be up in arms if Japan tried us in International Courts to stop our Big-Mac addiction...

Species are a WORLD resource- they are killing off an entire SPECIES of animal

I Understand that, but it's up to the Japanese to change on their own.. It's not up to us to tell them what to do.. we can be against it and suggest them to change, which I am and do, but we shouldn't be trying to force them..

I see the difference, I'm merely saying Whaling is as Japanese as fast food is American to us.. that's what they do.. who they are.. that's why they don't care.. and don't want to change and that's my point.. i know it's wrong, but it's like if Communist China tried to take away America's Capitalism, we wouldn't stand for it cause it's wrong and that's who we are.. and we the people wouldn't care what China had to say.. that's why the Japanese people don't care to leave behind a way of life they've had for thousands of years..

Things change- the world spins and ALL must work together to ensure a tradition doesn't lead to a species extinction.

When this tradition started- how many people were in their country? And the world? How many whales?
How many now?

That tradition was influenced at that time by it was also a great accomplishment to secure a whale... that has also changed just like killing millions of people with 1 bomb.......

And that doesn't even take up the argument of whether it's right or wrong to begin with..... but I agree there not to place my beliefs upon others. 8)
