Almost 4 hours, and only 3 sold. I think this is a definite sign that he's pricing larger releases like this way too high. I think the price his originals fetched made him think print inflation was was justified. I sure hope this forces him to price his prints correctly from here on out, as he is getting back to his more creative self.derek wrote:$150 to $200 yes...for $450, I'd expect a print limited to 15-20 pieces. I still think he's trying to find his price ceiling.
Nice piece and a great idea. Just overprices IMHO.
wow, that one is actually pretty good.

edit: please note, my ' ' has nothing to do with my feeling on this particular print, but has to do with the fact that iratasan stated that he liked something that was produced by Brainwash, INC.
He is WAAAAAAAAY overpriced, esp for the last batch of London prints. The $100 prints, IMO should be around $75 shipped. I see a trend with alot of the artists. It sux, esp in a time where money is kinda tight for everybody. Alot of artists, that are extremely talented, are over pricing their prints, not sure if its to combat the ebay aftermarket, but it doesnt seem to be working. You rarely see a screen printed $20 art print or gigposter anymore, even at the shows.
That is one reason i love flatstock. You can spend $100 and get 4-5 really bad ass gigposters.
I hate to say it, but these will eventually sell out, then you will see 5-10 on fee-bay for $800+. Just like that frickin tomato soup spray can.

yeah, i know, right? "hey mikey, he likes it!"
I actually like this one too. Maybe its because i am so fond of the maxwell commercial when i was a kid.
Only a few of the brainwash's i like this year, and its all because i am fond of the artist/band he created a print for. The Dali and The Beatles print, other than that, they have been lacking. Plus I hate the size of the prints(22"x30"). Sometimes too much white space, for the effect of the art.

now imagine how surprised i was myself about me liking it.
this one drymounting rocks. great idea (very first time), great execution.
My Tomato Spray finally came today and I love it. I bet if he released Yes We Can, 33rd Street, Chocolate Vandal, or Life is Beautiful today, he'd sell them for over $300.
Mine is already at the framers. Should be ready in just a couple days.cadeallaw wrote:My Tomato Spray finally came today and I love it. I bet if he released Yes We Can, 33rd Street, Chocolate Vandal, or Life is Beautiful today, he'd sell them for over $300.
