I think it's an illustration from Dante's Inferno but not 100%.

This is a sweet gigposter. The lettering is recognizable as it looks like the lettering on some SY records. The image, to me, looks like a monk.

It conjured up that famous image of the monk who set himself on fire in a protest years ago.

Slater usually incorporates lyrics into his posters ... this one reminded me of the song "Incinerate" from the last alum (Rather Ripped)... could be off though (the person does look rather monk like) ...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I ripped your heart out from your chest
Replaced it with a grenade blast
Incinerate
Incinerate
Incinerate
Incinerate
The firefighters hose me down
I don't care, I'll burn out anyhow
It's four-alarm girl, nothing to see
Hear the sirens come for me
You doused my soul with gasoline
You flicked a match into my brain
Incinerate
Incinerate
Incinerate
Incinerate
The firefighters are so nice
I remember you so cold as ice
The flames are licking at your feet
The sirens come to put me me out of misery
You wave your torch into my eyes
Flamethrower lover burning mind
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Song for reference ....

This is sweet.
Nicely done, Todd.
Can't wait to see Jay Ryan's contribution to the SY series.

I'm not a Dante expert, but this doesn't appear to me to be in Dante's style. If so, I think it's been significantly re-worked

(One of these days must get a copy of Dante--anyone know which editions are considered to have the best images?)

from Todd …via OMG

I wanted Depeche Mode to have the vibe of a film noir in space. The silhouette is actually Dave Gahan’s. The variant of this print is quite striking as it features violet ink instead of silver. I was really happy with the way it turned out.
The Green Day print was our best selling print at Seattle Flatstock. The print depicts a child leading a revolution. The background imagery deals with themes featured on 21st Century Breakdown ranging from Nixon to Bush along with religious imagery and influential bands and people. The variant of this print features gold ink instead of black and goes out for free to the first ten people to buy the print. The first 10 are determined in the order we receive the paypal transactions.
And finally one of my favorites, the Sonic Youth print. The colors and the image of the monk looking out over the fire is more of a feeling invoked by their music. Sonic Youth is often playing in my studio, so I had a lot of feelings/images to choose from for this print. It was a close second at Flatstock.
