I just really hope emek brings his A game to this one. I think he's got about 10-15 posters that really are quite good and if he tries his hardest this might turn out well. but so much of his stuff just looks like glorified doodles or like he didn't put a lot of effort in. i mean compare the took x-ray, or nick cave, or mars volta to the latest badu or festival of the week print and they're not even in the same ballpark. this COULD turn out to be fantastic but i'm not holding my breath.

Agree wholeheartedly with this one.greenhorn1 wrote:I just really hope emek brings his A game to this one.
I'm by no means a huge fan of Emek but this statement is ridiculous.greenhorn1 wrote:I think he's got about 10-15 posters that really are quite good
No doubt even the biggest Emek fan (Taper?) would agree that there is a huge variety in the 'quality' of Emek's work but to suggest that he has only 10-15 posters that are "quite good" is nuts!greenhorn1 wrote:so much of his stuff just looks like glorified doodles or like he didn't put a lot of effort in. i mean compare the took x-ray, or nick cave, or mars volta to the latest badu or festival of the week print and they're not even in the same ballpark. this COULD turn out to be fantastic but i'm not holding my breath.
I'm intrigued by what this collaboration will bring. I have no doubt that Emek will be bringing his "A-game" considering it will be judged alongside Horkey's work.
this aggression will not stand, man.
