When i purchased my sub i had to think twice because i knew there would be some dinos thrown in and im not normally a big fan but this one is great.
Although i need to see the real print to make up my mind for sure....the difference in the images in the day/night versions is quite big and may look a bit odd in person im afraid.
we'll see

I'm surprised this is still available.

Seriously. When I saw the day time image my first thought was, awesome, I hope this glows in the dark too. Then bam . . . absolutely amazing! This takes my vote. Great work Dan!dukakus88 wrote:I thought the day time image alone was great... then I scrolled down.

exactly what happened with me. saw the day image, looked at it for a while very pleased, then realized the GID shot was below. this was an instant buy for me, no hesitation aside from the time i spent drooling over the image at first. this is skipping straight to the front of my framing queue for sure.dukakus88 wrote:I thought the day time image alone was great... then I scrolled down.

Meh. His dino stuff really isn't my favorite. The GID looks sweet though.

Everyone was saying that the sun on "1 of 700000000" should turn in to the moon
So here you have it! Dan was listening to your prayers.

add a mat and use a "standard" 22 x 28 or 24 x 30 frame.piomba wrote:yeah, that was kinda the point... need to get a custom made frame each time i hang one of dan's pieces on my wall... again, joking. and again,IggyD wrote:FYI its 19 x 25piomba wrote:is 18 x 24 so hard to do... joking... well done dan
or just trim a half inch around,
yep, I said it.
One way or another this will hang in my house.
Blasphemy! ... would have done this to many a print if it weren't for the title/signature/edition#... but definately an easy fix._benjammin wrote:add a mat and use a "standard" 22 x 28 or 24 x 30 frame.piomba wrote:yeah, that was kinda the point... need to get a custom made frame each time i hang one of dan's pieces on my wall... again, joking. and again,IggyD wrote:FYI its 19 x 25piomba wrote:is 18 x 24 so hard to do... joking... well done dan

My other issue is that everytime I enter a frame store I end up loving framing material that is >$10 a foot.
But when all is said and done, this print in particular will get the mat treament for sure. Perhaps something to match the the color of the mountains in the background. tasty.

I have a fair amount of McCarthy to frame up (Carbon Atom, Let it Be, Squid/Whale etc.) but this is going to the top of the list. In all honesty, I have not really LOVED a DM piece in a long, long time, but this one grabbed me right away. Well done Mr. McCarthy.
