Is that a C-130? I work near an air tanker firebase that's hitting the Santa Barbara fire. This image looks similar to what we've been seeing all week around here. Although, the only aircraft we've seen operating lateley are old P-2 and P-3 former navy sub hunters.

This is very Mark Brabant in style.
EDIT: Please ignore/excuse my ignorance, Surrender is a new artist for me to check out!
By the way, I like this image a lot!

Thanks folks, it was a pleasure to work with EB. These prints were over a year in the making so im really glad to see them finally public. if i recall, theyre 8 colors including a split fountain. the actual subtitle of the print is "sleeping children better run like the wind" but they are only marked with an EB14 on the actual print, and an EB seal of authenticity on the back.
the airplane is indeed an AC130 Gunship. the scenery is a vast vineyard in North Carolina outside of Fayetteville and not to far from the local army base. and since i like to put things together that dont exactly belong in the same places- thats a view of the blue ridge's in the background.
i can try and take some photos and upload them, im out of town so it may have to wait to monday though.
if you like them, please pick one up and show some support to EB.

Well, if one is looking west of Fayetteville the Blue Ridge Mountains aren't but a couple hundred miles away.chrislgo wrote:the scenery is a vast vineyard in North Carolina outside of Fayetteville and not to far from the local army base. and since i like to put things together that dont exactly belong in the same places- thats a view of the blue ridge's in the background.
It's a beauty Christopher.
Bacon is love.
Seeing how me and Chris are the only ones at this moment with them in hand, ya gotta take our word for it - they do look really nice. Steve and the guys at D&L did a great job and I think that this is a very frameable piece for me. Have to apologize for the ongoing delays with this - Mr. Surrender has been great thru it all...
Tra la la la la...
