I'd argue that California has passed Amsterdam in quality and genetics.

and I would argue that Seattle has always been ahead of both.

Seattle has some of the best trees i've ever experienced. And I love that green Danger piece too... most likely my favorite 'tree' piece.

just saw this thread. For some reason the majority of the prints I have are tree related. I find it odd considering I work with animals. Oh well. Still nature

anyhow, I was walking in some gallery shop in Annapolis Maryland yesterday. The guy seemed to sell some interesting pieces. And then I saw original pieces. I was AMAZED at the quality of these. I had to ask him who was the artists and what technique they were since I had never seen anything like them before in the poster world. The ones he had were resin, oil based that look breathtaking. I was with my brother and sister. They don't care much for art, but they were floored by these pieces. I ended up taking pictures. I felt like a fool, but it was too cool to pass up.
It appears she's kinda famous and stuff is sold in other galleries as well. They were over thousands dollars each. But they are huge and if I had the money to blow, I wouldn't hesitate to pull the trigger. I especially loved the huge ones.
Her name is Nakisa Seika. Check her fudge out. I doubt any of us can afford it, but trust me, its DAMN nice in person.

Unfortunately, I don't have any better pictures, but that painting is one of the best tree motif pieces I've ever seen.
