So, how would one display that? I'm thinking those mini-flourescent bulbs on the top edge and bottom edge might look cool.
Similar to the glowing wipe on screens you see at bars with the loose meat special written on it.

how the heck would ya get plexi in a tube? Ya can't. Must be some mixed media that isn't intended for a print run. A paper version would be missing way too much

ikea sells these strips of LED lights... you can use a shadow-box frame, mount it with hooks or even bull-clips, and then line each of the sides with the lights. drill a hole to run the wiring out of the side.

The LED's would probably be more compact and brighter than a bulb.
