Per an email from Jason at Pollock Prints:
To clarify, there weren't 2 runs printed as some estimate. One run; two
editions. All prints were produced at the same time. The show prints were
delivered to the event fresh from the drying racks (still damp actually)
and numbered 1-150. There were an additional 60 prints which Pollock
offers first to his Subscribers who always receive first crack at
retaining their matching numbered sets #'d 1-60. Once they've been
presented the opportunity to purchase a print, those who decline have
their numbers offered to the general public. This time around about 50% of
subscribers opted to purchase a print leaving 30 or so remaining prints to
sell to other collectors. Those 30+ prints sold out quickly due to the
fact that Jim let them dry longer and hence the looked better than the
show edition prints. The show edition prints were sold without tubes too
which caused many to get damaged since it was raining hard here in Chicago
that evening.

The first image (above) was posted on Jim's website when these pieces went on sale. You'll note the intended purple looks blue in this shot.
Here (above) the same photo just with the colors appropriately balanced to represent the true colors of the print. I regret not balancing the colors properly when the print was originally released for online sales. Perhaps my monitor hadn't been calibrated recently or the white balance was off on my camera when I shot the work. Regardless, to clarify, Jim's originally intention with this release was to depict Mike Gordon in his notorious purple pants and Pollock only released one version of the print - from one original run. There is NO intended variation to colors. Since Pollock hand mixes his colors, there may be a slight variation among prints but it shouldn't be that noticable in a run this small. The quality of the two prints may vary as those prints released at the show weren't dry and were distributed on a night with lots of rain and condensation in the air and likely appear more splotchy.

what a great night! I can't believe it's been a year already... can't wait till later this month gordo's coming back to the park west. Hope he brings the freaks again, and we get to hear Andelman's Yard 7 times throughout the night.
Maybe we'll get lucky and Pollock will print us up some more sweet prints.
