I have a connection that allows me to purchase molding direct from a frame manufacturer as the molding is discontinued. I made the frame (I make 90% of my frames).

I love the framejobs here, but sometimes I think the frame/matting is competing with the art itself. I would probably get something where the print does the talking.

Yea, I thought about just doing just basic frame jobs with no mattes, but my thinking is that if you're hanging something like this up, with the plan being that they are going to stay up a lifetime, why not have MORE to look at? I'd probably get bored with a basic frame job after a few years. Just my personal preference, I guess.

I don't know about the frame on that boris (personally just not a fan of gold and I think a darker color would go with the black paper better) but the matting makes it look amazing. And I do most of my horkeys without mattes.

I'm the opposite. I loooooooove gold frames!! This was the only frame I saw that that I felt went with the art really well. It matches the gold in the piece.

I used the same style of matting on this one as the Black OM poster I did because the plan all along was to put them up together on the wall.

And that's really all that matters! Well, that and the fact that the art is up on a wall being enjoyed instead of hiding away in a flat file somewhere. :)
