They've had snafus with the last two Red Sparrowes vinyl releases, and I recall some issues with the Neurosis live cd's when they went on sale.sunsetbrew wrote:I recently ordered from them and it eventually arrived fine. is this edition from the website signed and numbered? does anyone know how many they have?--nevermind i see the earlier post---i am a n00b at colelcting--would it be a good investment to buy two? Might be a dumb question
Not necessarily a dumb question, but not exactly answerable either. Everyone here will likely have a different opinion.hotniks160 wrote:would it be a good investment to buy two? Might be a dumb question
Collecting isnt investing. And if you start to look at it like that, it may become less fun. Sure; some people make a living, or at least a supplemental income, by buying and flipping posters. But, most of us are out here for the fun of it and turning it into an "investment" kind of takes the focus off of the hobby and the art, and puts it on the return.
If you want to buy two, buy two. I buy two of lots of things. Some I sell; most I hold on to. But usually the last thing on my mind is whether or not it'll be a good investment. Usually, in the case of Horkey, whats going through my mind is the fact that I need an extra large portfolio for his stuff, because Im tired of storing them under the bed because its the only place big and out of the way enough to flatten these monstrous posters!
Flip if you want to flip, but if you flop, are you going to look at your archival copy and think: "well, I sure lost my ass on that one, pfffft..." or will you think "well, it actually cost me about 25% more than it should have, but I still love it!?"

It could be a good idea to have a spare one of these to trade if you miss out on the Burlesque edition. The bands run was 250 so I imagine BRLSQ will have like 130-180 in their run...and I'm sure they will go fast. This print has gotten a lot of attention across all of the poster sites.hotniks160 wrote:.....---i am a n00b at colelcting--would it be a good investment to buy two? Might be a dumb question

hey expressobeans is obviously the king--can someone else give me some sites that are similar or at least with the same poster trading/information context???? You all r the best
The only one that comes to mind in the slightest is gigposters.com. But it's not geared towards collectors really - or the collection aspect of it anyway. Same worlds, but different focuses.
Tra la la la la...
If you're into Phish, check out PHishposters.com. Also not a bad place to check out if you're not into Phish, but that is the focus.hotniks160 wrote:hey expressobeans is obviously the king--can someone else give me some sites that are similar or at least with the same poster trading/information context???? Thanks for the head's up SSB. Just ordered one...now if I can only get the Burlesque variant.

We will kindly refund anyone who orders more than two posters. Many thanks.
it added shipping to mine just fine and totalled it up right and proper...the only thing it wouldn't do is accept paypal.Rev.Mike wrote:Also, they're not adding shipping on these, which is going to lead to further problems.

Yeah, I sent them an email about the paypal thing this morning...hopefully they can have that fixed up. Christmas time has put too big of a dent on my credit card...
