unnecessary sir - actually noticed a moderation of humor in recent ages it seems
When is DOGE hitting this rats nest?
love to see the claim data
have Elon look into that 1910 level site coding - size of file needs to be a grain of sand, only load this type, wrong Selections for claims, inappropriately deny claims making it nearly impossible to resolve, not following on federal crimes stolen packages - could go on and on
won't be any legal challenges - get it done buddy - long live the king (true douche)

I dropped a $350 print off at the post off on the 13th. The line was crazy long and I had 100% had to get back to work so I was forced to drop off at the prepaid drop off desk and not get a receipt, otherwise ship it late.
The package has still not been scanned that its in the USPS's possession.
I feel like an idiot, I always get a receipt but couldn't this time.
I have a picture of the tube sitting on the dropoff counter, not sure what good that would do me.
I should have known better. I reeeallly, really, should have known better considering I have been utilizing this very incompetence to my financial advantage.
DAMN. I'm about even now with the USPS.
Touché USPS, Touché.

I've had this happen to me several times. The package always turns up, sometimes doesn't get scanned for a couple weeks or sometimes the first scan comes in the destination city. Good luck.Thinker wrote: ↑Tue Feb 25, 2025 2:02 pmI dropped a $350 print off at the post off on the 13th. Luls. Who fudge in your cheerios?
Does your location have a self service kiosk? If so you can do a prepaid label scan instead of waiting in line if you're in a hurry.Thinker wrote: ↑Tue Feb 25, 2025 2:02 pmI dropped a $350 print off at the post off on the 13th. You mean those stations where you print a label and then drop it in the big rotating drop off bin thing?Codeblue wrote: ↑Tue Feb 25, 2025 6:20 pmDoes your location have a self service kiosk? Scanning it there is the same as scanning it at the counter with the clerk? What stops people from insuring a package for $1,000, scanning it at these stations, and taking the package right back home and filing a claim?
I've also had it happen before but NEVER for this long. 1 week max. I guess I will just keep waiting. Luckily my buyer is being super cool about it.xangelx wrote: ↑Tue Feb 25, 2025 5:36 pmI've had this happen to me several times. Yes, that's what I mean, but no it's not the same as scanning at the counter. If the goal is to get credit from Ebay for a drop-off, for example, then the kiosk works. If ya want to make sure it counts for a potential insurance claim, ya need to wait in line for a human scan.Thinker wrote: ↑Wed Feb 26, 2025 8:55 amYou mean those stations where you print a label and then drop it in the big rotating drop off bin thing?

So I have new a development in my Free Priority Mail Express (PME) shenanigans. - which by the way, aside from my lost package (which is totally unrelated to PME) I have a 100% success rate of free shipping with late arriving PME right now.
So when I do this, I purchase a PME shipping label at home. I also use Priority Mail (NOT PME) stickers on the box. Typically to cover box blemishes and markings from previous shipments, etc, not in any attempt to trick the post office into think my box is PM and not PME.
I had thought that the stickers COULD be contributing..... but it really shouldn't be.... they are extra dumbasses if it is.
SO anyways, this morning I drop off another PME shipment at the same Post Office I always do and with the same Clerk that I usually get about 90% of the time. Today is different though, she takes issue with the fact that I am using PM stickers on a PME box and says I'm not supposed to do that. "WHY YOU DO THAT?!" Were her exact words.
Then she proceeds to take PME stickers out of her drawer and stick in on my box. Granted, I had about 20 PM stickers on this box and she stuck 2 PME stickers on there. If my stickers were tricking anyone, they probably still will.
I thought I would add this to my PME story. Do you think I'm toast? Is the Party over? I'll report back and let ya know.
I didn't think my PM stickers matters, but maybe they do. And now I'm also thinking that when I file for a refund on these PME shipments it somehow makes it back to the original Clerk because she seems on her toes now.
My latest PME shipment arrived on time, no refund this time.
Oh well it was good while it lasted. I guess my PM stickers really were tricking the folks at the distribution center.
Meanwhile my $350 print shipped on the 13th still hasn't been scanned.
Seriously, drymount the USPS man.

well- appears DOGE has no immediate interest in the postal, so congratulations USPS, that kind of says something - my grievances are mostly around claims handling and pure nonsense that can be found on occasion
shipped package priority to Florida- after 10 days made it half way- 1st scan
