Not sure if this is the right thread as its not so much a technical fix so much as possibly a rule/mod fix.
- 1. I get that the political threads were closed, but now that nonsense has spread into threads. Any type of rules/restrictions we could put into place to limit that.
- 2. I know when I joined one of the things that excited me about the site was so many of the artist were here commenting in the threads about their releases. Now it seems all of them have fled in part due to the non-stop trolling they get by users. I'm not saying they should be immune from criticism, just would love to see something set up to make it more welcoming to the creators that that this site is here for.

if artists are that soft and can't handle criticism, they can stick to Mondo Trader where they are protected. or they can have a circle jerk in their fan club FB groups or discord servers.

We get it, you want to be able to troll artist. But boy do I miss seeing Olly Moss, Edmiston, Mitchell, Brad Hill, Danger, etc etc all in here engaging with their fans.
with 0 effort being put in by the bod to this site. there is little chance anything is going to change unfortunately.
being able to criticize an artist as well as praise them freely, is one of the features many enjoy about this site. if users are put in time out or punished for speaking their thoughts on someone/something, EB will die a much faster death than it already is.
and I repeat, if artists are that fragile that they can't handle the good AND the bad - then they don't belong here. go to your fanclub where the circle jerk will stroke the ego.

so tech team member, what would you like to do? give a temp ban if I think Mike Mitchell's newest piece of art is a flaming pile of dog fudge? or will I get some special power if I say OMG best ever?
please, enlighten us as to what you've been pushing the Board of Directors to do if someone doesn't agree with you.
Luls. Artists didn’t “leave” because of #trolling, they left because this site barely worked for a couple of years and they can get way more bang for their time-buck on the Facebook Platform.
Also, this site wasn’t created for artists, it was created for collectors (specifically gig posters) to track their collections and trade/sell to each other.

i wasn't referring peoples criticism. but was to artists being active here and just generally building the community back up.
