Is this one of the new elements of the new eBay payments thing that they want us to opt into? I haven't opted in as I don't see the benefits.

I haven’t sold anything on EBay since COVID started but after reading your post I started looking into this new forced managed payment plan they have. As if giving EBay my SS# and bank info wasn’t enough of a deal killer they also want you to ship a sold item to the buyer immediately, if you want to keep your Top Rated status, but you will have wait 2-7 days maybe more for the payment to make it to your bank.

Not a chance.

It's fine, once you get a few sales down the money hits your bank within a few business days from getting paid. It sure did not seem optional for me six months ago. I added my business and personal info and it's been this new way since early august when they switched me over. The thing that annoys me is they don't pull the selling fees from the incoming money and you still have to pay separately.

I've been getting messages about signing up for months but have ignored them. I've continued selling as usual and getting paid normally.

Yeah I had to switch over a few weeks ago, not really a big deal as far as I can see. Paypal was receiving my payments for me before, now eBay is, but eBay sends my payments to my bank account every few days, wish I could just do the amount and where I want them to go but it's not really a problem.

I hadn't thought it had been that long but apparently things have changed for international shipping since I've last used it. Today, I wasn't able to print my normal first class international package (apparently something about my package details eliminated it as an option although i tried a few different dimensions and weights and it still wasn't an option) and opted for eBay standard international. Equivalent of the global shipping program?
Anyway, when I used first class in the past I was given the same limits in dimensions (can't be longer than 27" in any one length) as i was today with ebay international. I would still send tubes that exceeded that length (32") and never had anything sent back.

the question: Has anyone tried or had trouble exceeding the posted limits when using this ebay service? I'm sending off a standard movie poster tube and just wondering if I can expect it back.
Wanda: I can't stand people. I hate them. Do you hate them?
Henry: No, but I seem to feel better when they're not around.
