Yes, if every display followed this same pattern you have a winner. The multiple columns in the home page don't let you take this layout there though. Home page needs a full redesign and everything needs to be stacked for mobile in one column.

Surprised by the support for this honestly.
Yes it does look better on a phone - but only for the items on the home page (like for "Hot today"), but I don't really see why you need the thumbnails here to be bigger its not like the links for "view item" are any bigger, you still need to pinch and zoom in a bunch if you want to click those things.
Meanwhile, on a computer monitor everything is too bigI have to scroll around to see things.
I think the negative impact it has on standard computer monitor viewing doesn't make up for the positive impact it has on mobile viewing.
Just my two cents.
