Was this release promoted by Obey at all? I can't recall seeing mention of it on any of their social media accounts. So glad it wasn't a print of a picture of the mural.
Sandra did and Shep had an IG story.

The gallery just said on IG there were no bots. Yeah, sure.
can't imaine they put them all up for sale... takes at least a minute for 400 to sell out on obey i can't see this selling out in 2seconds unless where were just a few up.
Edition size was 200 not 400.

Also, obey puts bot protection in, with buyers having to solve sometimes up to 3 captchas. That slows down how quickly all are gone. This release had no captchas or other such bot prevention tactics, as far as I know.

Probably the nicest Fairey I’ve seen in years. Love the collaboration on this one with Sandra Chevrier, her stuff is amazing.
i love her collabs, they are off the charts. her normal work after a couple of pieces just becomes too repetitive for me... i understand having a consistent style but not really the same image again and again.

regardless the only times i've ran into a sold out screen immediately upon going to the initial customer page was when emek did his rome drop and when the ames bros did their pearl jam donkey kong drop. would make sense to me to get into the process and be shut out during it, but not before it even start when there are 200 available. i mean certainly possible but abnormal. maybe they released the link from the main page before it showed up on the product page. i didn't show up for me on the product page for at least 20-30s after o'clock.

win some loose some. always interesting seeing how things turn out on new sites. congrats to all who scored. great piece.

they did.
there was a link from the splash page when I checked a few minutes before the drop. I sat on that page and was able to add the product to cart, but it sold out before I could confirm payment.

This Target Exceptions is now on Ebay for $725 ! Seller probably thinks it's a cool to flatten a print
and show off some kicks ! , Have we hit a new low in print conservation , hmmm :pint:

You forgot to point out his effort to avoid putting the shoe over the signature. Conversation at its finest.

I thought the shoe was to hide the print number. I'm waiting for the offset to curb the market before I pick one up.
