He is obviously debating if JJ’s timed edition is worth five bills and whether charging that much for a timed edition is, in fact, one of the seven sins.

Not politics per se, but Bolton’s book appears to be pretty salty. Doubt I will ever read it (if it actually gets a release), but cliffs are pretty hilarious.

Used Shop Pay instead of PayPal for the first time today. They texted me the code after I entered my phone number that I had to enter before being able to proceed with the checkout. Is that what they do every time or just the first time? Seems to me that if anyone is into serious “bot fighting”, this is the way to go, no? Not saying bot fighting is all that relevant or that this actually works. Wouldn’t it though?

I bet it does it every time as "2-factor" auth, unless you're saying that puts you in a queue. You may even go into settings and turn it off. Im curious about that and GPay.

Sadly PayPal preload is a thing of the past.

^ Not really. I took another look at it yesterday at Hashimoto where I used it the day before to buy the Sperry print. I added some random print to my cart (or used the buy now, don't remember, doesn't matter) and then selected to pay via Shop Pay. Next screen asked for my email address. Once the email address was provided, I got a text with the verification code. I entered the code and the next screen showed my complete info from the previous purchase, including shipping address, credit card, etc, and the pay now button.

The whole process took no more than 5 seconds. It was super fast. Aside from the fact that it seems a little too simple and my credit card is now stored at one more place, namely Shopify, PayPal is really in the rear view mirror as far as payment process goes. For now, I am pretty sure I will be using this vs PayPal next time given the option (unless some "shady" place where I might need to open a claim, like Brainwash, for example).

Maybe Joe from the Bottleneck can chime in if they explored this option and what they though about it.

^ Kind of expected.

Side note, I never owned one (and likely never will), but I like them Broncos.

Popular Mechanics: National Guard Chopper Lifts 'Into The Wild' Bus Out of Alaskan Wilderness

Was debating whether to watch it or not on Netflix just a week or so ago. Opted for not.

What’s the plan with the COVID, America?

Image

And then there are numerous reports of Americans hiking in Banff and other places around Alberta and British Columbia, who apparently were let in to Canada under false pretences of travelling to Alaska. Reports of these people going to restaurants, not following the social distancing requirements, etc. WTF, people?
