How amazing are these melting Azerbaijani rugs by THE Master of Rug Art, Faig Ahmed?!!!
Handmade traditionally, then “he disassembles their conventional structure and randomly rearranges the resulting components of the traditional composition then combines these fragments with contemporary sculptural forms”, which sounds about right to me.
Hadn’t seen these before so thought I’d share. Cool AF.

Spent most of the weekend going through pretty much every single print I have. Confirmed that I have shitload of stuff I don’t want and way too many prints in general. Found a few really weird things that I have no idea what they are and look like fudge, art wise, but minty crisp, lol. One is Dredd related, which I am sure I have never bought (I don’t think I bought anything Dredd ever, except for 1/6 figure that sounded like a flip at the time and maybe was/is, but I still have it sealed somewhere). I need to unload all this stuff at some point.
Also found some random “cool” things.
Arguably the best part, I was going to post an ISO for Shep’s Knowledge and Action today and then found one going over Obey stuff. I was sure I failed on the drop and never picked it up, lol.
Anyway, there is a reason for this post, lol. Found two prints that are “wavy” somewhere in the middle of the print. Not sure why that happened. Two prints, one on top of the other (acid-free in between), both 24x36, roughly in the middle of the stack of about 30-ish prints (didn’t count, maybe more); all prints under and above are as flat as they can be. Both prints are on thick paper, both Mondo, from 2013-ish. Any ideas why?
P. S. Seems like forever ago, but apparently I used to buy tons of Mondo stuff. Luls. That Rocket Raccoon in the photo is a pretty cool print. I have no idea why I bought it and still have it, but it is a cool print. I remember I copped it together with the Stout’s Guardians. The site was a shitshow, took some time, but managed to get them both. Was a good day. If I recall correctly, that was one of the last drops before the “makeover”. Those were good times.

Inks and paper contract differently with heat and humidity. Ink pulls on the paper fibers and causes the tension difference?bubbie wrote: ↑Mon Apr 27, 2020 1:35 am

If it's a Mondo, it's prolly on a fairly chitty paper, which IIRC is the main reason Poster Mountain stopped working on their fudge.
