Rear Window is probably my favourite of his overall
+1. The regular and not the variant.

Same. I'll never forget when they dropped on Mondo, me scrambling to get 'Vertigo'. Couldn't. Snagged 'Rear Window' reg. and 'Psycho' reg. Wasn't expecting to be able to check out, but I got them both, I was shocked.

I think Jaws is a top 3 Mondo all-timer. The fin is just spot on - slap bang in the middle, black and menacing, particularly against the colourful and tranquil surroundings...yet surprisingly missed by many people the first few times they look. Kastel’s art is so iconic, to create something so fresh that doesn’t even use Bruce, the Orca or the central 3 characters...I think that’s a really special concept (and execution). For me, it’s a pretty perfect example of what alternative movie posters are about. Sorry for the excess hype! I just love that poster.
Rear Window is also brilliant, I think the regular is more fitting for the film, but the colours in the variant are gorgeous.
I don’t love a lot of his recent work, but there are still some gems there (Apoc Now River, Deer Hunter and Breakfast at Tiffany’s prob my faves from recent times). I think even when his prints miss the bullseye, they’re still quite interesting and well crafted.

I prefer the Rear Window variant, easily my favorite Durieux.
This. I will one day own it. But for now i will enjoy the first edition print on my wall.
Been a while since I've posted on EB. I just saw I missed out on the Durieux Silence of the Lambs frenzy. Would have liked to own that.

Is the Tippy Birds really selling for quadruple digits now?
I finally snagged it through the Black Friday flat file drop. I got to check-out, saw it was $500, and as I confirmed my PayPal thought: geezeiguessitreallyisgoingforoverathousandihopeidon'tregretthislaterdon'thinkoryou'llmissthisbutwhataboutchristmasfundsohmygod.
Rear Window reg is one of my favorites in my collection. Aside from the Moss Roadshow prints, Jaws is my last real ISO, but I'll never afford it. I grabbed the Mitchell E.T. that day and don't regret it. -- fantastic print for my favorite film.

any news on when the sinbad's will be sent out?
might find an answer in your order confirmation from your purchase,
or you can send an email to gallery and ask? asking on a random forum prob isn’t the most effective way for an answer.

I feel like the thin plume of smoke at an angle doesn't really blend well with HDS's body, maybe that's the point - to make him look like he is fading away - but I decided to add some in Photoshop to see how it looked. I think it just more clearly defines his arm/elbow rather than just having a hand awkwardly popping out of thin air. I'm not saying this is better but something like this would have made me like this even more. Overall I do like this - the title treatment, colours, landscape, likenesses are all on point - I just don't think they all work together as well as I had hoped.

I like the print quite a bit, but I tend to agree. It feels like there are 2 really great concepts in here, and they don't *quite* mesh into a perfect whole.
