Also... there was a thing on Twitter recently about how to watch The Irishman as a miniseries.
Not a fan cutting it to parts if it wasn’t intended to be. I have a feeling this weekend is the one though, magic will happen.

Seriously though, a screenshot of viewing a page at 50% of actual size:

I agree with watching it all in one sitting. I was fortunate enough to see it in a cinema, and the length is essential to the plot. You're supposed to feel it, to realise the distance of time, and feel the characters ageing. I'm sure you'd get the same feeling from it in a 'miniseries' version, but muted.

fredo - do you guys still have 'oddfellows' in NZ?

ps Thought The Irishman was a long , pretty slog to nowhere special. Watchable enough and everybody did their best but ultimately I didn't care about any of the characters. At least Goodfellas had some kinetic energy and charisma going for it.

Ended up watching The Irishman in two seatings (couldn’t pull through the last half hour on the first go). I have to say, I agree with fredo’s assessment above 100%. Kind of disappointing, I was really looking forward to it. Perhaps, my expectations were a bit too high. Thought Romano did a pretty good job though and didn’t look weird seeing him there; didn’t think he could be anyone other than... well, Ray.

Also watched American Made (unless I just made up the name, the one with Cruise) and also meh. Not bad, but nothing special.

When you find a movie to watch on Netflix and when you find the time to do so a couple of days later you can’t remember what that movie was.

Those who falsely accuse the most amazing people on the planet as an Alt or “The Alt”. It’s blasphemy I tell you. Blasphemy...

Comcast has been bugging me for years about upgrading to the newest cable box, but I never did seeing as the one I had did everything I needed. Finally agreed, and they sent the wrong box. So now I don't have dvr.

Only Comcast can turn an upgrade into a downgrade.

(pre-COVID)
If you are in constant physical pain you are royally screwed.

The government has scared doctors so deeply they dont want to risk their practice. I dont blame em but it forces them to play blissfully ignorant directly in your face.

They do provide multiple referrals to pain clinics("injection centers") which get turned away because ALL?? "injections" and methods have been performed.

They leave you no hope. Each rejection magnifies the echo of hopelessness. I surrender to their wall of ignorance. Primary Cares through specialists.

My only wish is to own my life, my body.

E-scooters. They'd be much less of a nuisance if people didn't park them blocking thoroughfares, doors, and crosswalks, but then they also ride them against and through traffic like somehow they're completely impervious when they're riding one. The absolutely deadly fudge I've seen happening on those things is just astonishing.
