Apparently, there was an one hour time window to purchase after randomly receiving your email that you won the ability to buy a print. That seems a little stringent for a workday.
idk. its 2019 and i think most people have phones that have email notifications on them.
and if you were actually invested in picking one up seems like you would've been keeping an eye out on that. they spelled out how they were going to do this pretty clear.
it really isn't the responsibility of the artists to take 3,000 people's work schedules into account.
they all sold so people figured it out.

Put simply, buying or attempting to buy art is a privilege, not a right. Don't be entitled because you missed your shot.35mmpaul wrote: ↑Wed Nov 20, 2019 3:47 pmidk. its 2019 and i think most people have phones that have email notifications on them.

the complainers on his facebook fan page have been great the past 24 hours.
the whole thing seemed so stupid easy. and i think out of the small circle of like 10-15 people that i knew who entered everyone who was after one was covered without issue.

well arent your lives just one long unbroken boulevard of green lights!
my very sweet mom offered to purchase this print for me. She received a call that her brother wasnt doing well in hospice and left to see him. Work, life, whatever, people have lives and that kind of timeframe can be difficult on people excited to buy a james jean print.
im going to hold to my stance that i feel bad for the people that missed out because of a one hour floating time window to purchase a print they were excited about

Agreed, we can't all be f*cking around on our phones all day, looking for likes and retweets.

they can only account for so much. and feel like they did. if you wanted it, seems like you would keep an eye on your emails. and if you missed, you missed.
sorry to hear about your uncle.

i would like to clarify, i am very happy with the process and my only suggestion would be a slightly longer purchase window
I am getting ready to write the point rules for THC, and no matter what i do i get tons of questions and after the fact people asking for a hookup
Trying to do anything is super hard, i cannot imagine what James and his team are going through

my girlfriend clicked the button at 10:01, nearly a full minute after I did. she got a print offer, I did not.
obviously happy that we scored one, but there are more kinks to work out other than just the time limit thing on making the purchase.
