It dropped a few seconds after the exact time, and was sold out less than 30 seconds after the hour, so I think it was even faster than that!

Weird that they did such a low run with the obvious demand. I mean if you're gonna basically do a second edition, might as well go all in and do it timed or some fudge. Guessing that was more Danthony's idea (for some odd reason). Duke must have a solid day job.

Perhaps it's readily known -- but I'd contact Thomas Danthony directly to see if he has APs. That's how I ended up getting the original a while back. But that was sort of before it became this "thing" -- so he may do APs differently now.
Already did, we'll see. I know he posted about having some available at a later date. He didn't specify how or when though
good suggestion, appreciate it!
Silly as it may sound, BDP might have made a low run to remain principled and to avoid looking like it was trying to cash in or trying to ride the wave of an old release.Codeblue wrote: ↑Fri Aug 23, 2019 12:32 pmWeird that they did such a low run with the obvious demand. Or: BDP don't wanna Doyle nobody.
Well they basically did even though it's technically a slightly different image. I don't think the couple dozen people who owned the first edition were gonna be in that much of an uproar compared to the hundreds who were prolly vying for one.

I prefer landscape to portrait...the additional art adds a Edward Hopper feel while feeling completely original/refreshing.
A run of 50 seems both low and arbitrary, maybe the gallery can speak to that...

Tong’s Ran Variant was my biggest ISO once. Got that on the wall. This Danthony was a huge ISO. So it Will go straight to the wall. Now I’m just missing two BDP releases...Eng’s Space is the Place and Yuko Shimizu’s Pierrot...and need to frame Delort’s Marienbad. Then I’ll be happy.
