In just 9 days one of my all time favorite movies returns as a series on Netflix. Will my childhood be ruined? Will EBeaners finally understand my avatar? Will I enjoy strangers approaching me about the time spiral on my arm? Either way I'm equally excited and nervous.

I was very hesitant when I heard about the new series but I must admit the trailer looks really good so I've gotten my hopes up a bit. Can't wait to watch it and see if they've managed to do the movie justice.

I've seen Labyrinth several times and The Neverending Story several times, but somehow have never seen this fudge (which seems to be in a similar vein). Was it that popular in the 80s/90s?

was the dark crystal popular?

it was amazing. it could be difficult to watch with an adult’s perspective. i am not sure it would translate well if it was not something you were raised on. kind of like vegimite.

Grew up on it, re-watched it not too long ago and if you can buy into the puppets it really is still pretty great. Awesome lesson in the end too. But I agree deads, if you didn't grow up on it it would probably seem pretty bad. Kind of like how I feel about Mac and Me.

"Hook" is the same way. God damn what a difficult watch, but loved it as a kid.

Finally finished this today. What did everyone think? I thought it turned out FAR better than I had ever hoped. Certainly there were nitpicky things here and there but overall I enjoyed it quite a bit.
