I passed on the lotto for that same reason. No idea if it's two ladies or not...Cragars wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2019 11:34 amNo I liked it and copped. Is nice use of color and wanted to see how it looked in person. The more I look at it tho, is it two ladies or is the taller one a dude with luscious locks? Been listening to a lot of Type O Negative lately and it just reminds me of Peter Steele now. Dunno how I feel about it. I read too much into stuff tho. Carry on.

Parra
when the smoke clears
when the smoke clears pays homage to a pair of motifs all but synonymous with Parra’s influential practice – a muted blue-red-black palette, and a nonchalant female figure.
Calling to mind a cinematic poolside holiday, Parra dwells on a moment of stillness which, his choice of title suggests, follows one of chaos. Available to all for 48 hours, the edition is of a new unseen artwork, transposed into an elegant 8-colour silkscreen. Graphic black outlines align the print closely with the artist’s coveted designs for apparel.
“There is sadness and hope within the print, which is up for the viewer to interpret.”
48 hour timed edition print.

I wouldn't call it super meh, but kind of agree.. I wish the image was a little stronger (especially for a timed), but as far as timed are concerned, this is still quite more tempting than yet another timed James Jean. Might go for it anyway based on pricing and a timed Parra might be a one time thing, plus he doesn't release much anyway, unlike JJ..
