Has anyone ever done a 2001 poster that focuses on (or even just includes) anything from the Heywood Floyd part in the middle of the film?

This Pelcer poster gets points for not including HAL in some gimmicky way. The variant is pretty good.
I think an old Mark Englert art print variant was of the monolith on the moon from his section. Plus I think you gotta count the space ballet posters as well...

Those Barretts are pretty great. Best batch of Mondos in a while IMO.
This. That FMJ is killer. Wish the movie was better tho.

Not a fan of FMJ?!

Srsly tho, I love that movie, some of the best quotes/ characters ever imo ( Hartman, Pile, Animal Mother), idk how it could be any better, but to each their own. The Tet offensive scene was burned into my brain when I was but a child.
Barrett FMJ def the best poster of the batch imo, particularly that variant.

I think the first half is a fantastic psychological study, great stuff. But the actual Vietnam part is just ok to me. Some memorable bits but as whole not doing or saying much that other Vietnam films didn’t do better. But again that’s just imo. I respect your opinion and fandom good sir.

Not an unpopular opinion. I know a lot of people who really just prefer the first half.

And to you sir. I actually can agree on some level. It does sort of have a very stylized depiction of the absurdity of the conflict and of war itself, which doesn't quite hold up comparatively to the first half the film, which is pretty bullet proof

No hostility intended, this is just a debate I enjoy having and like to see where other individuals fall on the matter. Love the poster, both the reg and the var. Glad to see mondo put out something that i'd actually like to cop and display.

Hey guys...

Long time since I've gone for a mondo release. What time is their usual "random drop" time these days?
