Think I'm finally going to jump in. Was looking at getting the large Big Green Egg. Just cooking for the two of us most of the time so capacity isn't a big issue. BGE seems like a versatile grill for doing quick cooks as well as longer smokes like brisket. Any pros/cons I should know about? Talk me out of it and in to something else if you are passionate about another option. Thanks for the insight.

I'd love an offset but with work and a small farm to manage I don't really have the time to tend to an offset. How much of an ability to set it and forget it do the WSMs afford vs a BGE/Kamado?
Everyone has said it but man your pictures are incredible. Been fascinating to see your evolution. Keep it up.

I can go into more detail later, but I'd look at Kamado Joe too. More for less, IMO, and you may see some deals on the IIs since the IIIs came out. I got an awesome deal on the I that way.alteridiom wrote: ↑Sat Jun 08, 2019 3:47 pmThink I'm finally going to jump in. Was looking at getting the large Big Green Egg. I don't know much about WSM, but neither of the other two are set and forget. You want something like a Traeger for that probably, but that's cheating/not as fun .alteridiom wrote: ↑Sun Jun 09, 2019 11:04 amI'd love an offset but with work and a small farm to manage I don't really have the time to tend to an offset. Thanks for the tip. After looking at those I think I'm gonna go that way. More bang for your buck with all the accessories included. Plus Amazon carries them.

It looks like Atlanta Grill Company has a pretty decent sale right now, FYI. There are also Costco roadshows rotating through certain stores.
